Top 5: Middle School Survival Tips

Tip #1: Never try to change yourself.

Your friends might start wearing designer clothing, breaking school rules, or even doing illegal stuff. NEVER change yourself to impress these people. Remember that a true friend would never want you to change yourself, and will like you for who you are and not what you wear.

Tip #2: Always do your homework, please.

If your teachers are very strict about homework and it counts for a lot of your grade like me, do it. It raises your GPA (if it counts for a lot of your grade), and it also impresses your teachers. Remember that teachers like students who are respectful, obedient, and do their homework.

Tip #3: Always be ready.

If the consequence for not bringing in your textbooks, homework, or even backpacks is detention, then that is a huge price to pay for irresponsibility. You don't want to waste your time for detention after school, or even at recess, right?

Tip #4: Choose your friends wisely.

This is important. Don't be friends with people who start or participate drama, and you'll avoid all of the worst things in middle school such as fights, and even getting in trouble with adults.

Tip #5: Don't do anything that will harm your body.

Middle school is the biggie where some kids might start doing drugs. In my school, we even have had a program which taught us about drugs and how to say "no" to them.
