Top 5: Ways to Study!

With the next semester starting up, it's a good idea to start studying all you can. However, you want to retain that information at the same time. Here are some tips and tricks to study effectively and efficiently. 1) Use Quizlet. Say you have a HUGE test coming up, and you waited until the last minute to start studying. Have no fear, Quizlet is here! Go through your notes and highlight any concepts you don't understand fully. Then, go onto Quizlet and create online flashcards to help you quiz yourself on the information repeatedly until you understand it. The good thing is that there are multiple ways you can study, too. 2) Rewrite Your Notes. When you have to study a sheet of paper for hours, it helps if it looks pretty. Rewriting notes not only aids in making your notes neater, but the brain connects good feelings with things that look aesthetically-pleasing. If your notes are nicer in appearance, then you would want to look at them and study them more. Rewritin...

Top 5: Cliche's of Indian TV Shows

1. Saas v. Bahu Drama. (Mother-in-Law vs. Daughter-in-Law Drama) This is the greatest common factor of almost every single Indian drama serial known to man. The serial writers just cannot resist the urge to throw in some saas v. bahu drama! This does, however, get very annoying because it's the same plot repeated. But people (including myself) continue to pile up various serials with the same storyline on their plates. 2. Dreams. This seems like an ordinary thing, right? Well, NOOOO. Ok, so just imagine this: There is a heart-wrenching drama track going on in the show, and suddenly, in one of the episodes, the main character's problems get solved and everything ends happily ever after. You are relieved and extremely delighted, when suddenly the character wakes up. Turns out, it was a dream! None of it actually happened, and you are facepalming yourself for falling into the director's trap. 3. Memory Loss. It seems like anyone can have amnesia these days- ESPECIALLY ...

High School!

I am now starting my second semester of high school, and it blows my mind that I started writing on this blog in 2010, 7 years ago! I was in 2nd grade when I started this blog- can you believe that?! Writing is and always will be one of my greatest passions, and I promise to continue writing on this blog, despite not being able to post very often. We are nearing 8,000+ pageviews on this blog. I find it so amazing that despite me not posting as much anymore, there are so many people who continue to come on my blog to look at my work. Thank you so much! :) ~Kashika My Youtube Channel: www.youtube.com/heyitsdiy

How To Be Successful At Everything You Do (Top 5)

Thank you all so much for 7k! It means so much! 1) Have a positive attitude.  Even if you've been assigned the most boring project in the world at work/school, think of it positively. Think about the good aspects of the project. There are always some. Also, think about the outcomes of finishing the project. You might get a good grade (if you're in school), or you might even earn a reward. Just remember, though, don't always expect an award for everything that you do. Most of the time, the reward is simply internal satisfaction. 2) Work diligently and hard.  This is just a part of human nature, that the harder a person works on something, the better it turns out to be. And in the end? Well, you've put your blood, sweat, and tears into this project. After it's completed, you feel amazing. You feel as if you've done your best work. You feel you're going to get a promotion. Working hard not only raises self-esteem, but it also improves work habits because...

Top 5: Favorite Apps 2016! + 7k FOLLOWERS!!!

Thank you so much for 7k!!! It means so much to me! It's been a while since I've done one of these. So why not?! :) These apps are all free to download, but payments may be required in some of them later on. 1) Freegal Music:  Literally, FREE MUSIC. For having a library card! How cool is that? All you need to do is download the app (of course) select your library and sign in with your library card number/pin. This is a completely free, legal, and safe app, and it is made by the libraries. You get five free song/music video downloads per week. These are all NEW songs! On my Samsung phone, the songs get automatically transferred to my phone's music library. You just need to have a library card. 2) Sweet Talk by Juicy Fruit:  Yes, the bubble gum company. This is just a silly and fun app which you can play around with with your friends. You select a video and hold the phone up to your mouth. The video will start to play and a mouth will be depicted saying something...
